TUM (Thinking Up Magic) is a cooperative project of The Creative Education Foundation and Gregg Fraley to develop multi-media content related to creativity. TUM content currently consists of an archive of video taped interviews with the world’s best practitioners of Creative Problem Solving, two commercially packaged videos, and this web site.
Taped at the annual Creative Problem Solving Conference (CPSI) in 1998, the focus of the interviews is on discovering how “applied creativity” is used to solve real-world problems and encourage innovation. The interviews include extensive and specific information on usage of the Osborn-Parnes Creative Problem Solving process – otherwise known as CPS. The components of the process, and usage techniques, are discussed. Also overviews and comparisons to other problem solving models. More general information and opinions are shared regarding a diverse range of topics related to creativity, such as new product development, fostering creative environments, and business acceptance of new methods of innovation.
Here is profound, practical insight from an international
mix of over 40 consultants, business leaders, researchers, and educators with
highly diverse experiences and perspectives.
TUM is an amazing collection of ideas, knowledge, perspectives, practical
applications, and success stories that show what amazing results can be achieved
with applied creativity.
This web site features a highly indexed transcript of the TUM
interviews, and will eventually include streaming audio and video playback.
