Ideation Services
Gregg Fraley is an experienced ideation facilitator. He's primarily focused on new product development,
although he has done considerable work in process improvement as well. He works closely with
an extensive international network of co-facilitators, researchers, and trained
brains to deliver product ideas that work.
Gregg customizes ideation plans around your organizations specific challenges.
He can assist in framing a session around research insights, and when possible
he includes consumers in the ideation team.
Using
techniques that have people thinking differently, the emphasis is on creating an
environment for targeted divergent thinking. This environment is created using
traditional methods -- offsite locations, clear objectives, and no distractions.
This is coupled with non-traditional techniques -- everything from
improvisational comedy games designed to build teams, to story telling around
consumer "contact points." He also uses many of the time-proven tools for
idea exploration like mind-mapping and brain writing but has invented tools and
techniques that go beyond these tools as well.
What's different about Gregg's approach to
ideation is the use of his advanced tools. He seamlessly integrates these
tools, such as improvisational games that
have been re-created and re-purposed for corporate idea generation. These
tools "surprise" participants into spontaneous thinking. Even inexperienced brainstormers
often have breakthrough ideas using these "Innovisation™"
techniques. These tools are ideation industry state-of-the-art.
The deliverable of an
ideation session is usually a set of new product concepts. Gregg and his team
can help you polish these and prepare them for research and testing.
Web Based Ideation & Idea
Management
Many corporate idea sessions are isolated events. Gregg encourages a more integrated and long-term approach. Training in structured ideation and problem solving is essential in building innovation capacity. Further, combining intensive ideation sessions with "always available" web-based idea collection tools
helps institutionalize innovation efforts. Great ideas often occur outside of brainstorming sessions, and having a structure in place to capture and process those ideas is essential to continuous innovation.
